Support the MDs and APPs by allowing them to focus on patient care. Document patient evaluation by physician (MD) or advanced practice provider (APP) with attention to detail. Perform patient clinical intake including chief complaint, history of present illness, and review of systems. Prepare for patient visits by reviewing past medical history and imaging. Understand the unique situation of each patient and provide support, empathy, and. Provide each patient with a world-class experience that exceeds patient expectations. The utilization of an electronic health record is requisite to success in this role. The Clinical Assistant also plays an important role in the provider experience by ensuring the provider has everything required to focus on the clinical evaluation of each patient. The Clinical Assistant will develop the patient relationship beyond the clinic visit and serve a role similar to a concierge or advocate. This role will guide patients through their care experience by performing rooming and intake, scribing the visit, and facilitating next steps for the patient. The Clinical Assistant is essential to the patient and provider experience.
